Instructions
  1. Start by cutting the col berza in half, removing the thick central stem and separating the leaves. Also, take a moment to remove the tough stem at the base of the leaves.
  2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Wash the col berza leaves thoroughly, dry them, and cut them into medium-sized pieces. Add the leaves to the boiling water and cook uncovered for about 20 minutes.
  3. After 20 minutes of cooking the leaves, peel and cut 2 large potatoes into large chunks and add them to the pot. Continue cooking for another 20 minutes.
  4. Once cooked, drain the col berza and potatoes. Keep them warm in a saucepan while you prepare the sauté.
  5. In a frying pan, heat 12 tablespoons of olive oil. Add 3 sliced garlic cloves and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  6. Combine the sautéed garlic and oil with the drained col berza and potatoes. If desired, season lightly with salt, and serve warm. Enjoy your nutritious meal!
